and fell in the pool, floating to the bottom.

fuck. this is like the eleventyith time i've had some sort of liquid related accidents with phones, whether its being in a canoe that's flipped or dropping it in a puddle (i know) or dropping it in my toilet while pissing and being fucked up. every other phone i've salvaged, though. fucking iphone with non-removable battery has me SOL, though.

RIP 3G 16gb. god, i hope the apple store can cut me some slack and at least get me a new one at contract price. i've purchased multiple ipods, mbp and have an active ADC membership. no apple care, though :hs:

I talked with a guy last week that was on his 2nd iphone 3g, he said he got it for 200 (8gb obviously), but he obviously had to sign up for another 2 years.

after much talking with the apple tech at the bar, when i didn't have an appointment, who said he couldn't do anything once he saw the pink sensor in the headphone jack (i bleached it a little keke, it was a bright ass red), and my incessant "disappointment" with apple in this case, even saying i'd just get a BB storm instead if they couldn't do anything, he checked with his manager and they gave me a new 16gb 3g at no cost.

I think the problem is you treat expensive electronics like they're worthless garbage. If it's important to you, don't leave it dangling halfway out the pocket of a pair of jeans you're carrying next to the damn pool! Use your brain and plan ahead; real life doesn't come with Time Machine.

now i remember being at a party, where a bunch of guys literally picked up another guy and tossed him in the pool. he gets out with a disgusted look on his face and then realizes he's got his smokes in his shirt pocket, his month old cell phone in his pants pocket and his keyfob for his 2 way pager alarm in his other pants pocket. I thought he was going to kill someone :o

If you have shit in your pockets and drop your phone in the toliet while peeing I think you need to rethink how your process of going to the bathroom.

How exactly does something "float to the bottom" of a pool?

You come in here bitching about how you fucked up your iPhone by dropping it in the pool -- and it's not even a one-time thing -- but it's somehow not a reasonable expectation for you to take responsibility for your own shit? What, do you want an Apple Genius to follow you around and save you from your stupid mistakes?

If you can't be bothered to spend a half-second thinking to yourself what might go wrong with your next action, you're a danger to society. Dropping your iPhone in the pool might not hurt anyone but you, but there's plenty of other shit that you can do wrong that can hurt other people, and I hope you at least take that stuff seriously.

    i'm bitching?

i made a thread, much like many others in this forum, that entailed the death of an apple device.

i posted an update on it. that was it.

danger to society. you need to be on xanax.
