I have 6.5" speaker and 1" tweeter mounts on my doors and they are in need of some new speakers and I am looking for some recommendations. I have checked crutchfield but I'd like to see some other stuff. What are some good places to check online?

I know someone can help me! Thanks!

I buy a lot of stuff from www.thezeb.com

What kind of money are you wanting to spend?

right now I have 2 sets of Boston Acoustic cx-6's I think. I have a 50x4 Kenwood amp, 2 JL audio subwoofers, and a Rockford 55.2 sub amp, and a Kenwood excelon deck.

ive got boston acoustics pro 6.5 and they're awsome, u'd really need an external amp to fully appreciate them.

But are they available for less than $250?

In what ways are your current Boston Acoustics speakers lacking?

this is the 3rd pair I've had and that's because I end up blowing the tweeters through the woofer. I'm really nervous about adjusting the settings because I'm afraid they are going to blow out again.

Hmm, well it sounds like you are playing them too loud.

Unfortunatly I can't think of any car speakers that are really designed for high SPL output though, other than Image Dynamics horns...

Nailbomb and others work in car audio shops and would probably have a better idea on what speakers can handle a TON of power.

I'm not necissarily trying to get it louder. I have tweeter mounts in my doors and I wanted to hvae an independent tweeter and woofer. I figured a component set would be a good replacement :dunno:
