    Jl 12w6v2 - $339
    PG X600.1 - $339
    Boston Z6 - $550
    PG x200.2 - $339

$1567 for all that jazz, wouldn't be to bad I don't think. What would you all do with 1567 for a Ford Exploder?

thats a nice set up... xenon amps have a fuck load of power and sound good. you could even go with the 400.1 to run a w6. i'm personalyl not a huge fan of boston anymore but it is a reasonable speaker. what kind of deck do you have? ever thought of getting a 4 chan and running everything active?

The Orion 600D doesn't work to well at 4 ohms, and I will be running it with 2 10w3's for a few months, so that wont work. The Rainbow Germaniums I couldn't find online, and the 4002 pushes 100 watts RMS, the 200.2 pushes 200 watts RMS.

A 4-channel amp might not be a bad idea, but I don't know much about that. Enlighten me?

Personally, I don't think I'll ever go passive again in my car. I'd love to go active for my home setup, but that's a little more cost prohibitive.

If you go 4-channel and have a capable deck (such as higher end eclipse and alpine units) you can manually adjust the crossover point and slopes. In addition to this flexibility you can have infinite adjustment of power distribution between the tweeter and woofer, instead of the standard -3,-6dB jumpers on the passive crossovers. Finally, you have tweeter protection because if your woofer begins to distort, that distortion doesn't get looped back into your tweeter, frying it, which is why most tweeters are destroyed in the first place.

the pg 200.4 would probably be over kill... take a look at the 100.4 for a great active deck check out the pioneer 880 or eclipse 7000

If he is still running the Z6's, I think they can ask for 400W RMS per channel! In which case, running 200W to the woofer would be fine, and then just turn down the gain on the tweeter channel approriately.

Honestly, I'm not that up to date with current models. I do know I love my Eclipse CD8053, which is an older model with excellent features...

I've never been into really high end units. If it was up to me i'd get a pioneer DEH-p780mp and call it a day
