we just got 2 new GHR's a reverse hyper extension, and a new power rack with platform and rubber weights.

for those that do ghr's and reverse hypers, what kind of rep/sets are you doing? i've been doing 4 sets of 7-8 with the ghrs.

i usually do 3x8 w/ the GHR and 4x10 w/ the reverse hyper. I can only get the first rep of each set on the GHR though, lol

there is some stuff on elitefts that I'll dig up for you. Does the machine have a toeplate where you can push your whole foot into? And what do you squat and deadlift?

The more you do them the easier they get. I did 100 one time (not all at once) but that nearly killed me. Doing them with bands is fun too.

Is the elitefts GHR really worth the money over getting the one ny barbells has? I think there is a good $400 price difference or so. I would be the only person using it so I don't need a commercial grade piece of equipment designed to be used by people all day everyday.

I'm pretty sure that vettedude has either the New York one or one from Midwest Barbell. The elitefts one is definetely higher quality but if you don't have a money tree in your backyard, the other one will be more than fine. I think that NY has free shipping as well?

    There's one from midwest barbell.

It's worth the extra money, I like newyork barbells stuff, it is cheap and they have extremely good Customer Service. Elite stuff is the best, and deffinately worth the money for somethign like the GHR, i would buy the elite GHR if i could go back and do it over.

I think the majority of us do Cp in this post, and we do it on MES and DES days...
I have not doen reverse hypers in months, cause i did not have a reverse hyper until yesterday, but extraworkouts can be done using the reverse hyper. I was also told to do GHRs every day you lift for the first few weeks once upon a time, and then just do them regularly.
Do soem GHR situps if you ever have the chance, i did soem with bands last night... MURDER

I tried those on Wednesday. I'll have to add some weight or bands next time I do them, but how far down do you go? I think they might be on the squat/deadlift index, so I guess I'll just to be forced to watch it all over again.

When I first started GHR's I did three sets to failure every day as a warmup, then once I could do 3 sets of 10 reps I started doing them on lower body days and such and adding weights.

At first I could barely do an unassisted rep and had to have my partner give me a push at the bottom.

I've visited 6 different gyms in the Seattle/Tacoma area and none of them have a GHR or reverse hyper. I ask the PTs that are trying to sell me on the gym and when they say, "what is it, we may have one" I just respond, "if you don't know, you don't have it". Soon though, I'll be moving to Wyoming where there will be no gym facilities and I get to build my own home gym out of necessity. I should be doing allright with my new job so I may just go with the EFTS GHR but still get my power rack from ny barbells.
