my groin is fucked yet again from squattin.........

    laid off legs for 3-4 months if not longer because of a groin injury from squatting. seemed to completely have healed.......started off slow, leg press, extensions, moved on to front squats, today, did regular squats, loaded up 225 on my third set after warming up..........same injury.........i feel like punching a grandmother square in the fucking face im so sick of this bullshit........

    Where is the pain? Actual groin or is it hip flexor area?

    Are you doing any dynamic work for the area?

    i did stretching 2x/week or so for the 3 months i laid off legs, (i did do very light extensions once every couple weeks in that time span), i did foam rolling and some minimal partner assisted stretching for the area.

    i cant distinguish if its strictly hip flexor or groin. when i lift my knee standing, and rotate it to the right it hurts like fucking hell, if im doing "scissor kicks" laying down i.e. lift my leg straight up in the air about 40 degrees and back down it also kills. it could be my hip flexor, but it shoots down lower pain-wise as well.

    Damn man. That fucking blows. I would be irate...

    I think you should lay off back squats for a long while and just do front squats. Front squats build the quads up more anyway. Just gotta do more hamstring and glute work. I have basically stayed away from back squats because of my lower back... or if I do, no more than 315.

    I'm gonna go do some front squats now

    honestly i fucking suck at doctors i never know who to go to, what kind of doctor etc, the time has come though and i have to go this week.

    should i go to a physical therapist? a chiropractor? a sports injury specialist? i'd go for my back as well.

    I wouldn't go to a chiro. Sports Injury Spec or something of that nature. Any bruising or noticeable swelling?

    im no expert but it seems like a sports injury specialist might do you some good. even if its just basic input. GL :sadwavey:

    i know im not meant for it. im built for being a ballet dancer or figure skater but that doesnt mean i will stop trying. i love it.

    being a gym rat for 5 years doesnt mean you have good squat form. actually it probably guarantees shitty form
