I started running today at the end of my lift sessions to try and ditch the body fat I have on me....I ran ONE MILE....took me fucking 12 and 1/2 minutes to do it and on top of that my heart rate (though probably inaccurate thanks to the shitty treadmill gauge) was supposedly around 198 the whole time......talking about feeling like shit...

Gonna force myself to run at least a mile after every lifting session and probably a mile on off days too to try and ditch this fucking fat but my God cardio is teh suck

When I started doing cardio again I could still run like a 10 min mile without totally dying, but it was really discouraging to know that I was out of shape.

I cut down 30 pounds and ran a 7:30 mile in like 3 months though. It's possible.

I also lost muscle but shit happens, I'm back to where I was before and 30 lbs lighter :wiggle:

word, that is what I am hoping will happen to me, I have cut out most bad foods and cleaned up my diet drastically compared to previous meals....(I cut out fast food and sodas) I know it's not a drastic change, but I'm going to work my way into it. Hoping to cut off roughly 30 lbs as well dropping me from 235 to roughly 205 within the next 3-4 months

careful getting shredded and realizing that you look 1000% better is addictive... you may not ever want to bulk again!

I would run at about 6.5-7.5 mph then slow down after like a minute of that and walk for 2......cardio has never been my strong point. I'm working on it though...

you didnt run a mile if it took you 12.5 minutes

Congratulations on getting back into it. I run 2 miles a day generally, a mile before and after.

When I first started my time was 9:47 seconds. I've shaved about 45 seconds off that time in a month.

    Good luck.

I run 1 mile or bike 3 miles as warmup. The run takes about 7 minutes and the bike about 7.5 minutes. I to start lifting without a little sweat and higher heart rate.

Gotta start somewhere. Just don't force yourself to run harder than you can, it will only make you demotivated and not wanting to go run anymore. Go at a good steady pace you can keep up with. Just not too easy.
