But he tells me no more than $300... Does not plan to conceal carry.
Does it have to be new or would he be willing to buy used?
can be used.
This will be his first gun ever and he doesn't have a lot to spend.
There are some hi-power clones that you can get for under $300. There's the Hungarian one (FEG) and Arcus. I have an Arcus 98C (98=double action, C=compact). There's also the 94 which is single action. Both come in fullsize and compact. Mine was like $250 new and is awesome.
Sometimes you can find a Taurus for close to $300. I think I saw a few on gunbroker.com the other day for about that. I believe it was a 24/7, which I have no personal experience with, but I think that's the same model taurus my brother in law bought, and he seems to like it quite a bit.
probably could find a used XD for close to that or a used prespringfield xd for less
im thinking of selling my xd.it would be at that price ceiling
You change guns like you change socks, wtf.
Edit: CDNN has EAA stuff around 299, a Taurus or two for 249.. tell him to look there.
I picked up my p89, for about that.
I recommend replacing the grips with hogue's. Make it a much nicer gun.
What is CDNN?
ditto my nigga
Ed Norton uses a Ruger P-series in American History X
Das what I was gonna say...
P-89T was my first gun, my friend shot it and liked it so much he bought it from me.
Where'd you pick that up at?
My buddy wants to buy mine. Not happening, 1st gun not gonna sell. 1st rifle not going to sell. The rest can come and go as I please.
I love my P94, but I doubt you'll find that for $300 new, unless you get one hell of a deal. I really loved my dad's P89 as well, which you should be able to get at that price.
Yeah, I was looking on Ruger's webpage and their semi-autos MSRPs are expensive and I don't know any gun stores that give big deals below MSRP around here. Most were like $460+ MSRP
J&G Sales has a Ruger P94DC for $299.95, but it's .40 S&W, not 9mm. It's blued and comes with Hogue grips w/Ruger logo. It's listed in their Shotgun news ad, page 33 of volume 60, issue 6. which is the March 6, 2006 issue.
edit - I bought a P94 stainless a few weeks back, but it was $375.
CDNN investments FTW
