OT member Jsr20dett enlisted in the Army and is currently doing his Bootcamp or Basics (same thing right?). What is proper to send him? I heard no Electronics or NWS stuff. I was thinking paperback books and letters. Is there anyway I can hide things in there to send him stuff like his iPod? I don't want to get him in trouble :hsugh:

They didn't let us keep anything we were sent unless it was specifically authorized (stationary, stamps, phone cards, hygene, etc.) No books or reading materials except for a bible and IET book were allowed. (Benning.)

are you reserves or what? at St-Jean, you could only get away with having certain personnal items once indoc was finished, on week 5. and from week 5 on you're almost always out in the field so.. before that, every single item in your room had to be issued by the military. any civilian stuff was stored in a locked common room.

During Basic Training, one guy in my bay received a couple of magazines.
Gag magazines. This was when you had your ass on the red line to get your mail so the Drill could inspect it and berate you in front of the other troops.

Playewe, I think, and something like Goatherders Monthly.

It was the funniest pwn I ever saw before "pwn" existed.

    Update:

He sent me a couple of letters. I wrote back as expect....

Now here's the thing. He's requesting a paperback book. I bought it for him today, but what's the best method of shipment? USPS or Fedex or UPS or it doesn't matter at all. It's just a book, not a porno or anything about Fuck the Military. Any ideas on how to send it? (Basic training in the Army).

It doesn't really matter since they will take it away from him once he receives it.
