im not a big fan of gloved.. but they help hold onto the weight. I personally dont like them. I use chalk.. put some chalk on your ands and you have much better grip.. I notice alot of people just kinda hold the weight in their hands.. so when they push, it slides out. I grab onto the bar and Squeeze it. my forearms/wrist/hands are in tension through out all my movements. Tell him to "squeeze" the bar and not let go. that mighe help.

I have this problem whenever I use a wide/snatch grip for things like bench, deadlifts, and OH squats. I'm thinking about using some chalk, though i don't really want to have to carry it around with me.

Hmmm....a very high percentage of heavy ass deadlift vids I've seen show the people wearing gloves.

Ronnie Coleman wears gloves too, guess I better not ask him to open my Coke bottles since he has such shitty grip!

when you are benching 600lbs. you can do it anyway you want..

go do a PL competition and ask them which gloves you can use..

A very low percentage of people with big pulls wear gloves. Guess that depends on your definition of a heavy ass deadlift though

a very low percentage of people do these heavy ass deadlifts, so I'd stick with chalk or nothing.

I take chalk with me all the time now instead of just deadlift day. Makes my life much better.

Just start bringing it, they'll let you know if you're not allowed.

It should be fine as long as you keep it in a container and dont get it everywhere.

That's what I did, and nobody has said anything to me yet. :dunno:
