TAT my fresh ink.. and an aftercare q

    apologies for the piss poor excuse for a photo above.. I think webcams have better resolution than my digi-cam nowadays..


    down to business.. swimming..

    chlorine appears to be a no go for 2 - 6 weeks (pending where you read).. but what about salt water?, I understand its best not too have it submerged in water for a while.. but arguably salt water doesn't have the bleaching qualities of chlorinated

    what sought of time frame is expected? 2 weeks? heading into the aussie summer it'd be nice to be able to swim some time before christmas..

    swimming in general isnt good. wait till ALL of the scabs are off of your tattoo then go swimming.

    if you absolutely have to swim try to find a good waterproof bandage, might be hard to find one big enough.

    a friend of mine's tat faded from salt water. i'd stay away.

    fair enough, thanks guys.

    looks as though it'll be healed in a week or so (ie, skin stopped peeling) safe to do so then I gather? (it'll be about 2 weeks old)

    i've done it too. made a mess out of a few of mine. thank god they were only small pieces
