I dont understand the mentality behind people who love old cars more than newer cars.

Those old dungers will never be in the same league, even if you waste thousands of dollars doing them up.
My car might look similar to alot of other cars on the road but it still maintains the basic falcon setup which is large 4 door sedan, rear wheel drive and large engine setups.
However, stock for stock my car would completely annihilate anything from that era in any aspect aside perhaps rust. :mamoru:

But each to his own. :o

It's because they look unique and generally have much better details.

There's a rarity...building a 6. I like it. My uncle had a '63 Falcon, it had a tendancy to try and twist the roof coming off the line though.

If you allow modern tires on the old car, I can come up with a nice list of things that would prove your statement wrong. But then theres the problem of me not knowing any one who keep their cars stock.

News flash - automotive technology has come a long way in 40 years.

Old cars have things that new cars will never have... and vice versa. Comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges.

you realize that some people dont want to see their car on every street corner. Its literally owning a piece of history.

classic cars have a lot more style than most newer cars.

EL-to-AU falcons are boring, ugly, and shouldn't be owned by anyone except taxi drivers.

    BA onwards = tough.

X series and earlier = classic.

Your car would look better if the rims were on right or is everything down under backwards? :noes:

You call that a nice interior? Where is the leather? Better yet, how about showing a piture of a interior with the same exterior color as your car and not red. :mamoru:

Dont crack on someone's ride where they put blood sweat and tears into restoring. I think the old Falcon looks hot ...... no matter what engine is stuffed between the fenders.

yea sorry aussies for the confusion lol. its an american falcon (american before aussie :bigthumb:

but yea, and i'm hoping that the 6 will be able to keep up with 289s and stock 302s. dont underestimate a well carburated 6.

plus its bored .060 over, valve job, performance ignition, cooling, as well as true dual exhaust + headers and an upgraded C4 tranny and 8" rear end.

if not as fast as a v8, it will still beat it off the line...i love torque :)

The guy I bought my Mustang from had a 64 Falcon project. Really wish I took pics of it. Black with silver inserts in the wing.

why would you do "true dual" exhaust on an inline engine??? At least with a V-engine it makes sense because you have two banks... But even those need an X-pipe to equalize pressure.

I find what you said almost incomprehesible. I look at your car and I see something I might take to the grocery store. It looks like (and prob drives like) every other econo car on the street

and oh, the modern Ford inteirior. Breathtaking isn't? I look at it and gives me warm feelings, probably becasue it makes me think "hey, I bet my grandma would really feel comfortably in a ride like that" and I love my grandmother very much.

EDIT: but as you said, each to his own.
