My fitday for 5/31/05

    Critiqute my foodage plz :o

    This will be a basic idea of my bulking diet for when I start christoper's routine. (I'm priming my stomach as we speak :o)

    I think that's a decent amt of calories for bulking (I'm 185 right now), but I could probably use more. Maybe a second PBJ sammich during the day? Most of my fats are unprocessed, as you can see. That pic is missing a tablespoon of Udo's choice oil that I put in my morning shake.

    Anyways, enough of my yapping, it's your guys' turn.

    I'd say get more calories if you are 185lbs. You have enough protein so I'd just eat whatever to get up to 4000calories atleast...but you could always track your progress for a couple of weeks at around 3700-3800 and see how much you gain.

    true. but i'm still getting the exercises "learned" properly. i'll probably start real training next week. some brolys in my gym are gonna meet with me this week and show me good form. the trainers in my gym are stupid, i just go around and find the guys who look the most ripped. :o

    edit: how does the diet look overall? pretty clean?

    Looks pretty healthy. You could stand to get a larger percentage of good fats, maybe more of an effort to get EFAs.

    up your calories, which you are doing and keep it that clean and you'll bulk up real nice.

    That looks like a great starting point. Good macro ratios. I would say keep with that for two weeks and see where you are at and adjust from there.

    for me, it doesn't matter since i am bulking and i just get a mental ballpark image of what i am taking in. maybe if i was cutting...

    quick question about bulking... as long as you're in a surplus, you're good right? how would you know when it would be TOO excessive? ie. for him at 185lbs, im sure 6000 cals would be excessive, so what's a good rule of thumb to find where optimum cals are?

    experimentation, if you start getting more fat than you'd like, maybe cut it back.

    but as you gain weight, you'd have to increase cals accordingly correct? cutting back could put you at maintenance cals

    it depends on how far above maintenance you are eating, i mean your body is only going to put so much towards muscle, any excess would go to fat. so if you're eating alot of excess then its going to go more towards fat, so just cut back and thats less going to fat.

    I ate two KFC chicken combos and 6 donutes yesterday :coold:





    eating clean is too much of a waste of time for me :o

    i think doing the fitday will be a good way to keep track of what i'm eating. as i'm finding out, i haven't nearly been eating enough to bulk. with this i get an exact picture of what else i need.

    you might have not read where i said it was missing a tablespoon of udo's choice oil blend, which is pure EFAs (a specific blend of omega 3, 6, 9 fatty acids from organic flax, safflower, oat, other oils.)

    ideally i'll probably cram in 2 tablespoons/day, which would give me about 28g of pure EFAs. i have to mix the stuff up in milk with a banana since it tastes like shit. :hsd:
