So I put together a portfolio of the photos that I liked the most. I photoshopped them as best as I knew how - tired to stay with the 'less is more' theory. Any more comments or things I should do/stay away from would be sweet.

I think he was saying that was his job because the other guy was too important for stuff like that.

you're chopping off or cropping too close on a lot of your shots and some (like the first) aren't close enough

post the sequence number of gallery as an example photo for the pictures your talking about.

Also I was told to shoot "the arts'y" type shots because when the couple posted there were two other photographers taking the exact same shot so there was no need for me to just follow exactly like them. I was told to be creative and do some randomly.

I think you had some good ideas but your composition could use some work. Also, I'd try to learn some more about flash lighting, etc. Your pictures just don't have any "pop" to them. Maybe because your PP is pretty reserved.

Is it just me or do most of the shots look overexposed?

I got bored after the first few times clicking the down arrow :hs: Should have only put the "best" on the gallery.. The rest on flickr or something.

From what I did see, you definitely need some processing, but I like some of your ideas..

well as far as that issue - I am not getting paid - and do not have anyone to really show the pictures too. So I just put them all up there so the other two photographers could see my pictures and tell me which ones they want to use for the weddings album. I did not feel like putting extra work in for something i volunteered for. I will use the ones I like for a wedding portfolio then delete the rest.

Yeah you caught me; wasting my time photoshopping pictures that no one wants is FAIL - The mother of the bride is a photographer as well, so she is going to do it all. But you probably already knew that the way you jumped the gun with your comments.

I agree, I'd take a few of your favorites and PP them and see what you can get with them. I think thats all everyone means. They aren't telling you to PP all 332.

Right. I don't really think anyone PP's every single image they shot. They trash the bad ones and PP the good.. :dunno:

Sure. If you wanna be some foo-foo candy ass about it. A real man would grow some sack and individual correct each one to accommodate for fluctuations in the light when they moved 1 foot to the left of the last shot.

I see that you used Lightroom to create the gallery. You could have easily PP'd the photos in Lightroom before creating the gallery..
