You have some really funky exposure settings. I originally thought a lot of those were out of focus (which they might be) but when you use an oddball aperature setting like f/5.4 it puts the background in focus just enough to tell that it's not the subject of the photo, but not blurry enough to make sure it doesn't detract attention from the subjects. I would also bump down your ISO settings because there's a noticable amount of noise in all of the photos, even the outdoor ones (#2 especially.)

Were you shooting in auto mode? :squint:

    It's a start I guess. :dunno:

    thanks,

    #2 was with a 1D :o

but i definately can see your point about the background blur or lack thereof :hsd:

the jumping shit would be cool, but the background is too distracting. If they were on top of a hill with blue skies behind them it would look tons better.

Any particular reason why you shot most of your pictures in Manual mode? Props to you if you can juggle the pace of wedding, compose the shot, change f value and shutter value when needed and not miss the shot you originally wanted to capture.

1 - Is the subject of the photo the cool-looking tree, or the guys? If it's the guys, which it should be, get closer.
2 - Nice, but they're a little too far off to the right. Think "rule" of thirds.
    3. Cool moment, but the background is way distracting. And it doesn't look like the scene is metered right, as the groomsmen are underexposed.
    4. Shows too much of the tree.
    5. Nice, but the background wasn't thrown out of focus enough. Try a larger aperture.
    6. I like this one.
    7. Nice, but the face of the man is out of focus.
    8. Would have been better of the woman in the background was more out of focus.
