I'm having second thoughts (i.e. buyers remorse) over the caliber selection, but man do I LOVE this gun!

I had a beat-up Ruger 10/22 (awesome gun for beginners!) and wanted to move up. I was debating a .308 or 30-06 because I have a napoleon-complex with guns :bigthumb:

Well anyways, after 5 hours of thinking it over, I decided to purchase a gun they had in stock vs. ordering the .308

The other selection they had was a Rem 700 XR-100 in .223, but I forgo that one for the Rem 700 VLS w/ Trynite barrel and a laminate thumbhole stock chambered in .204. I have fallen head-over-heels for the thumbhole stocks.. fuck I love those! :faint:

Well, I also nearly spent as much on the scope as I did the rifle :) Ended up with a Nikon 5.5-16.5x44 AO Titanium  Matches the bbl much nicer than the silver finish scopes :bigthumb:

This thing packs some power, but doesn't kick at all.. you could shoot all day long for a year with this thing :) I still want a .308 mainly just for a big, loud, don't fuck with me rifle, but i'm pleased with the .204 :)

And, no pics, no care so here we go!

    Buckeye Outdoors.

I'm actually from Thornville, near Buckeye Lake, but will live in Newark in about 30-60 days. More people recognize Newark than Thornville, so that is why I list it as my hometown.

    $679.99 for gun
    and $574.99 for scope

Unfortunately, it does not take a magazine, but is top-loading and holds 4 rounds.

I hope to build an Accuracy International Clone .308 700 w/ detachable mag for my next gun.

I really don't like those kind of stocks, but that's subjective. What's not subjective is how nice that thing looks. :bigthumb: Have fun.
