Okay, so I tried with the 80-200 f2.8, got pissed the hell off at it and went to my thrifty 50. Saving 800 dollars in lens choice, I got pics that were easily 4x as good, though I got less variety. Thoughts?

And now, ingen's trick of the day:
--Overexpose at iso 1600 rather than properly exposing at iso 1250 for dramatically lower noise, and faster AF. Don't ask me why, but it's still faster AF. it's my new policy, the next 2 pics have NO correction except resizing and a crop. THoughts?

    and, best for last :)

the f2.8 made my inability to have perfect white balance even more obvious (cycling lights own my face like woah :() and it underexposed unless I was 1/200th. SO, fuck that, I'd rather get close to the hot chicks :eek3:

Yeah, this monitor's all screwed up and I realllllly don't wanna bother adjusting it right this second :( thus the ugly colors. The pics are gonna be printed in black and white for the yearbook anyway.
