GUN my first time shooting a pistol at the range was disastrous

    as far as accuracy is concern.....i couldnt hit shit at 15 yards

    i think its the way i hold the gun, somebody show me some techniques

    fyi, 9mm cz 75 sp01, brand new (if that matters) put about 140 rounds through it today

    good chance your blinking and fliching when the shot goes off too. Natural reaction if you have a fire cracker go off in your hand. You need to do dry fire practice and try using ear plugs and ear muff. Most people blink and flinch due to the noise. If you shoot at an indoor range this is doubled. Try the ear plugs and muffs route, it's what I do for new shooters and really helps.

    I rarely shoot anywhere above 12 yards, I practice 5/7/10 almost all the time. If this is your first time learn to get a tight group at 5 yards, then move out to 7 and so on and so on.


    two main things that will get you a bullseye

    trigger control/manipulation

    sight picture/alignment

    the bullet will go where it is aimed every single time so if you're shots are off you are either not pulling the trigger right (95% of the time) or your sights picture was not correct (most likely caused by your trigger pushing/pulling it one way)
