My tats didn't scab either. Just keep the A&D ointment on and try not to scratch it.

    oh, PICS!?

the color will be more intense than it will be when it heals, mostly because the ink is leaking in the scabs. Keep the temperature of your showers down so you don't overdry the skin. If you rip the scabs, the color comes out too...So towel dry...

Hopefully sed tatoo is on your lower back, nothing like examining art when your having fun....

you shouldn't be getting scabs on your tat, and the color shouldn't be fading either

Don't pick at the scabs. Let them flake off, they will end up everywhere...your bed, your clothes. Use Eucerin lotion if it gets too itchy for you. A&D ointment is good, too.

:wavey: Congrats on your first tattoo...it will turn into an addiction.

and post a pic of your tattoo if you have one. We'd love to see it!

WOOOOO. I saw all KINDS of bullshit in this thread.

First, lets spell it right = Tattoo

Second, yes, your tattoo WILL scab. Tattooing is a needle piercing your skin hundreds of times. It is an open wound. The scab should stop in 7 to 14 days.

DO NOT pick the scab! Let it fall off naturaly in the shower. DO NOT put anything on it other than what your piercer told you which should be a antibacterial wash or lotion.

I was told unscented, moisturizer and that an antibacterial wash or lotion would fade the colors?
