So i just got this. It's all healed now, but this was taken after i first got it.
Ok I'll bite.... what's it say?
Is that that sanskrit that has been mentioned around here before?
Pretty cool I suppose but it kinda looks like it's just english written upside down.
^ yeah that
uh,,,,do you know that no one can read that?
do you KNOW what it says, or did you take the tatoo artists word on it?
I hope you KNOW what it says, otherwise it's probably just scribbles
My ? for everyone with weird writing is the same, all the chinese letters people get and you know about 10% actually know what the letters mean, they could mean anything, how would you know unless you looked into it first and we all know most don't
even though you might know (and i hope you do)
That would totally suck, and piss anyone off.
That is the only good thing about it.
if you get a language you don't know (or if some asshole messes up your lettering when you did know it) you just gotta avoid restaurants where the waitress might laugh at your tat because it says something stupid.
That would so suck for the tat artist to screw it up like that,,,,,,,saw an episode of peoples court where the guy wanted "blaze" tatoo'd on his stomach but got "blase". The Tat Artist had no teeth and looked like the biggest inbred retard you could imagine so it shouldn't have been too big of a shock that he couldn't spell in that case anyway
Sort of different meanings
Etymology: Middle English blase, from Old English blæse torch
1 a : an intensely burning fire b : intense direct light often accompanied by heat <the blaze of TV lights> c : an active burning; especially : a sudden bursting forth of flame
2 : something that resembles the blaze of a fire: as a : a dazzling display <a blaze of color> b : a sudden outburst <a blaze of fury>
Variant(s): also bla·se
1 : apathetic to pleasure or excitement as a result of excessive indulgence or enjoyment
OMG that's perfect!
What that person got is cooler than what they wanted though
bottom line is you never know,,,the artist might have just found his wife cheating on him and figures to hell with it and tatoos an elmer fud smokin pot instead of a memorial cross to your mom, so be careful with your tats huh
i think i'd have shit myself if i was you, lol, that's some funny shit
I believe it is Hebrew.
Which is odd... because Jewish scripture is very against body mods.
That is why I stick with symbols if I want to say something about myself You still get the... what does that mean?? But there are so many different interpretations of symbols they fit you wherever you are in your life
it looks hebrew to me
Truth in the heavens?
Its definately not Sanskrit
could be hebrew or yiddish...most of the same characters are used.
It says "Belief (or faith) in God"
Very good, Bobomb, It is hebrew and it does say faith in God. And the person that mentioned the idea about tattooing being against the hebrew religion is correct. I had a freind of mine translate the phrase for me. and it makes me feel a bit better that someone can actually read it.
Thanks for the awsome comments though. Sanskrit would be pretty sweet also.
So... are you Jewish?
his back is
No im not jewish, Im christian actually. But technically christianity arose from judism, and therefore hebrew is sort of the original language.
in regards to Crak600's story about the incorrect kanji... in my eyes if someone doesnt notice the error in the stencil before getting tattooed then they are at fault just as much as the tattoo artist for screwing up.
That is still an odd hoosing of language, I think *if it is based only on that).
i have a tattoo in arabic, and i too love when people can actually read it. i researched mine to make sure it said what i wanted it to, but i was still a bit nervous the first time i showed it to somebody that spoke arabic. thanks goodness everything worked out. i love the fact that i can have something that means so much to me without having to share it with the world.
im pretty sure thats hebrew, and it reads left to right
Its your own damn fault if you get a tattoo and its backwords or whatver...they just dont draw it on your arm....like everyone knows they put the outline on your arm before the needle ever touches you arm...thats the time when you say to yourself "hmm thats not right" let me fix that, if you dont do that then its your loss
