finally got some alien bees last week. i'm trying to get into fashion/model portraits, as well as band shoots.

lately i've been a little hooked on dave hill, calvin hollywood, jill greenburg, etc... so i directed my PP towards their styles.

ya they look very plastic, but i'd say this is a great first outing with strobes!

not a fan of the poses (they look forced) but I'd say you did a good job on the lighting...a tiny bit too much pp though

I was about to say there's some Dave Hill inspiration going on until I read your post. Good job!

No... not even sure what that does

The first one is some type of dancer and her trainer. I don't know the story behind them.. the newspaper needed a few shots.

the other ones were photos of my assistant in the same building (old library not used right now). there happened to be random props everywhere as you can see.

i definitely want to go back there as it's the only interesting indoor place i know of to practice with my strobes.

That girl is strangely androgynous. It looks more like she murdered him, not getting taught to dance, lol
