    that i developed myself

shot with a canon ae-1 with agfa agfapan apx 400 professional.

the negatives got scratched because when i was putting the film on the reel it got out of track and crinkled, but i feel that it added a nice effect to the photo.

i can now conclude that film > digital. you have way more control of what your final print is going to be like.

    tell me what you think

It is a nice shot and the wrinkle in developing does add a nice touch.

Now if this image would have been of a nice nude and you fucked up the neg would you still think film>digi ?

Hard to fuck up a digi negitive.
With a digi you have unlimited control.

I gotta tell ya, if this is your first photo, I'm duly impressed! The scratches only make it better! Great compostition and constrast. Frame it!!

I remember my first photo when I was in photography school. It was some dumb shot of a church steeple. I remember trying to figure out why F/5.6 @ 125 of a sec. would give me the same exposure value as F/4 @250 of a sec. or F/2.8 @ 500 sec.

    Keep up the good work.

    Cheers
    J.

digital is surpassing traditional these days. with all the new 8mp+ cameras coming out, it's hard to compare quality. sure, you won't be able to take advantage of the darkroom tricks, but you know you won't fuck up your pictures. i shoot both digital and film for my school newspaper, and i prefer digital :sad2:

but printing my own stuff is fun tho :)
