was moderately successful. I managed to clock my cpu freq from 200 to 214, going from a 1.8 to a 1.93. Wouldn't go any higher even cranking up the cpu voltage 10%. Oh well, I'm happy enough. I know its not great but I'm just happy I didn't fry anything.

What, did that fad go away or something? Did people finally figure out that raw clock speed doesn't make a computer substantially faster?

Granted raw clock speed isn't the end all be all Intel tried to make it out to be but every little bit helps.

So long as your RAM speed and FSB speed are still in sync with each other, yes. If you broke that sync, then your computer is now running slower.

Say what you want, but getting 3.6ghz out of a 1.8ghz cpu has got to be fun.
