    7pm tonight... I'm stoked

I met my opponent yesterday, dude seemed pretty cool. It's his first fight as well, I've been training a little longer than he has. It should be a good fight.

of course now I dont have shit to do until the rules meeting at 4:30 and all I have in the hotel is dialup, :noes:

Infinate fighting championship (or something similar to that) the event is called Flatline at the ramada, hah.

3, 3 minute rounds, no knees or elbows to the head, and no strikes to the head on the ground.

Those are pretty good amateur rules.

i agree. the no headstrikes on the ground also makes the ground action a lot better.

Remember to use those sideways knees to the outside of the quadricep in sidemount especially to open him up for mount.

most amatuer orgs around here use those rules, although i know the FFC's amatuer fights use standard ufc rules.

    Thats how amateur should be.

I fought an amateur fight for Joe Ancona (Battle for New Orleans) thats was full UFC rules.

    I was KTFO'd in the 1st

It was a good fight, but a bit short. We both did some damage standing, worked the clinch a little, I nearly got the takedown, but the dude was crazy strong and just stood back up.

Coming out of another clinch he nailed me with an uppercut that put me flat on my back.

I don't really remember most of the fight, but I'm told it was pretty good, afterwards they called it the fight of the night, so that's cool.

And yeah, I'm mainly a bjj guy, I really started training striking a month before the fight, hah. We have a pretty good kickboxing coach who has a couple pro fights and boxed a while.

It was a good fight, Rob had nothing to be a ashamed of. And that guy was freaking strong. You can only give a 100% and thats what he did.

It was a fun fight to watch.

Well congrats for stepping in the ring. Seems like you learned a lot. That takes balls.

What does it feels like to get KTFO? do you feel weird for the rest of the day (forget simple things like your phone number, etc?) or is it not too bad? I get headaches really easily so i'd fear the headache i'd get from a KO.
