I entered this film into the SATO 48 (www.sato48.com) where we only had 48 hours to complete the entire production.

I hope the old schoolers out there will appreciate the "Dukes of Hazzard" type of inspiration ;)

Please let me know what you think!

I saw several un-needed camera moves/shots and there were places I would have liked to have seen other angles but otherwise it was a good first try. I liked some of your jump cuts.

Thanks for the feedback. I know a Little bit about editing, and less about writing, even less about acting, and the least about filming. I like motorcycles and cars, so it showed :)

I am considering entering another one soon now that I know more about the entire process, and hopefully this time I will have some help. That one was nearly solo. Filming, both characters, editing, etc.

Any other feedback would be appreciated.

The weakest part of your film was the acting. Look for actors who can really deliver the content and make the audience believe it.

Yeah, I SUCK at acting, that was my first time. I had a team of 8 people lined up, and EVERY SINGLE ONE backed out for different reasons, mostly it fell on a bad/busy weekend and people could not get away. I appreciate the feedback, any other changes before I try again?

You're doing good for your first time. Don't go overboard on the "artsy" camera angles but don't shoot everything from eye level either. Look for ways to isolate the subject from the background (long lens, shallow DOF) Keep it simple, follow the rules of directing, especially when it comes to crossing the 180 degree line, give the audience plenty of close ups and have fun.

Thank man. I have 0 (ZERO) training, so I am not sure some of the terminology you just used, hehe. I appreciate the not going overboard, as I felt that is all I could think to do to add 'action' to the scenes. It sounds like I could use more close ups, and I definitely had FUN!

20 seconds in and I'm out. Not nearly enough fast, random, worthless cuts.
