I never post pictures here, but I thought I might as well do these since I put them up on flickr :wiggle:

First time having a decent camera to take pictures with, and a great location

What do you guys think :dunno:

Technically they came out well. Artistically speaking they need something else in the frame. People in the foreground, a flag waving, the arch of a building....something.

Probably the best attempt at photographing fireworks in OTAP so far. Nice work.

Yeah, I know what you mean :hs: I was more interested in making sure I could get the fireworks the way I wanted them before adding anything, but definitely will try next time now that I know wtf I'm doing

I had a really good idea that I wanted to try but didn't really have enough time or space to do it. Fireworks were cut a little short this year. Maybe next year :x:

I wanted to go out and shoot some this year but the weather was really iffy and I was lazy. At least you went and shot!

I worked all day so I wasn't really wanting to go out, but we decided to anyway  We rode our bikes there though because the traffic is so bad.. Riding a bike with a huge Canon backpack with a tripod "mount" that hardly holds the tripod properly was rather difficult! I need a new bag :o

Where in C. Springs did you go? I grew up in Littleton so I know a little about Colorado Springs.

Fireworks are pretty easy to do if you have a remote and a bulb mode. Like Jcolman mentioned though, it's really hard to give them something that makes them look any different from all the others. I need some lightstands and lights and I'll try to do something really nifty next year. :o
