A&P My final ceramics project . . .

    I'm not really into the heads. But I can't make stuff like that so I'm not bashing you. :)

    looks more like sculpture htan ceramics to me.


    unless you are really good at painting it to look like wood.

    It was for my ceramics class. The heads were made out of clay, fired, glazed, and fired again. The base was made out of wood.

    The hardest part was trying to keep them from looking too goofy. I did ok for this being my first handbuilding class.

    I like how this forum is just basically the photography forum. "the image is too warm" - who cares about the image, talk about his sculpture :)

    clear glaze? seems a glaze would be un-needed for a piece with no color. since they are already so rough i would venture to say they might have looked better with no glaze. just my opinion though :o:hs:

    I used a satin like glaze that pits the surface. I'll try to take some close ups of the effect. I definitely didn't want this one to be glossy.
