Help. For fucks sake, help. :hs:

This is infuriating. I don't know what i'm doing wrong. I loaded a bunch of pics onto the memory card and i can assign those as wallpapers just fine. Why can't i assign mp3s as ringtones?

I have this phone and if i remember right, you cant have ringtones on the memorycard, its gotta be on the phones internal memory. Which also means, you wont be putting 3mb mp3's as your ringtone. The way i do (did actually, i haven't done this in a while) custom ringtones is chopping up an mp3 to have just the part of your song you want as a ringtone then I emailed that much smaller mp3 to my phone ([email protected]) and then theres an option on my phone to save it as a ringtone. click that and your all set.

    I figured it out.

    1. Download whatever mp3s you want to your "my sounds" folder on the sd card.

    2. Open your "my sounds" folder in the "get it now" menu.

    3. Pick the song you want and send it to yourself as a pix message.

    4. Open the pix message, click options and save the song/sound/whatever as a ringtone.

:eek5: I'm currently using the crank ringtone, with the Mario end level theme as a backup.

I have a cool harp sound from an old Wu Tang song that I clipped out like this, but I have yet to own a phone that will let me use it. The packaging keeps lying to me. :wtc:

bitpim and a cheap Ebay data cable will solve all those problems.
