I have already posted this in OT, but incase I'm missing anyone without a sub or who does not frequent OT, I am placing this here as well.

I'm about to put down some coin on this setup so I'd really like as many opinions on this as I can get. Thank you.

Now I more or less just threw this together. I am more than willing to change some things around should I heed the advice of my fellow otters.

I'm definitely looking for opinions and ways I can improve and become more cost effective if at all possible.

I also can't seem to decide on a case. Been looking at the Lian-Li's for a while, but just cant choose one. Opinions on this as well.

I haven't built a system since about 03, so I did some crash-course research into what's currently going on in the market today. Give me moar info, OT. I'm counting on you.

    So, what do you think?

Now, when I posted this in OT I had a couple people tell me that as far as the HD goes I should look into the single platter 500 Seagates. Any more insight on this?

Also, as far as video cards are concerned, I am so lost on the battle these days. nVidia still a good choice or should I be more savvy with ATI?

I'm going to dinner but will be back soon to follow up.

    Thanks again!! :wavey:

seagate's 7200.12 drives are good, but I'm still a bit wary after they had all those 7200.11 drives shit the bed. On my next system I'm more than likely to go western digital or seagate's serial attached scsi.

Build looks good, the only change I'd consider would be switching the video card to an evga so you can use their step up program. I'd stick with nvidia.

Case, if I was doing a new system with a new case, I'd be looking at the antec p182 or the new antec 900 version 2.

As well am I. Also the fact they have the 3 year warranty as opposed to WD's 5 year.

EVGA? The manufacturer of the card, right? What is the step up program? :o

Thank you for your insight so far :)
