When I got to my brothers house in Seattle, I realized I had forgotten my camera, and I didn't feel like waiting for him to email me pics from his cam... so you guys will have to make due with my cell phone cam :o

    Welcome to the ECC!

Line for free posters and some free comics... Gearhead, Kade comics, stickers and some movie posters.

Was waiting for Skottie Young to sign and sketch some stuff, but he took a break right when I got there. ps. He's the one in the hat with his head turned.

Met and chatted with Mike Choi... stood in line for 2 hours to get a head sketch. His girlfriend and co-worker Sonia Oback hadn't gotten there yet, so she wasn't there to sign stuff (she does all his coloring.) Myself, Choi and Bendis are all from the same area, he talked to me about having dinner with Bendis a few days ago.... Bendis had a family thing so he had to cancel. Choi said he finishes Uncanny X-Men @ 499, then jumps to X-Force for books 7+ for an unknown amount.... and then gets back to UXM with Brubaker again. Brubaker was right next to him on the right. Choi's a really cool, laid back guy. Here he is doing a head sketch of Emma Frost for me :naughty:

Bought this limited print of Spidey/MJ from Clayton Crain... he was busy painting a commission, so I didn't get anything from him other than this.

    He signed it

Hit up Dustin Nguyen's booth, known for his Batman work. Saw this glossy print.... loved it, had to have it.

The finished Mike Choi Emma headsketch. Totally worth $20, but I would've paid $40+ for it. This was the last sketch before his break before the Marvel panel, so he added more than just a head sketch :coold:

Dustin Nguyen threw in a free quick sketch of whoever with a purchase, almost had him do Batman, then I realized The Joker would be cooler.

Can I join Chris G crew? In a split second decision, I decided not to get Deadpool and got Iron Fist instead

    Choi/Oback '06 Sketch/Colorbook - features a lot of Witchblade, Marvel stuff :coold:

    Misc thoughts and sights

    - Ed Brubaker, Robert Kirkman, and David Finch all had REALLY FUCKING LONG LINES so I didn't get to get some stuff signed by them. Choi's line got really long right after I got there, so I lucked out.

    - Shitload of awesoem G1 Transformers toys on sale.

    - First appearances of Iron Man, Spidey, Robin, Wolverine, Hulk were CGC rated at like 5, and still went for over $1500.

    - Lot of dudes hanging around the Suicide Girls booth, although they were selling womens clothes, panties and a dvd or two.

    - J. Michael Stracynzki didn't show up, or at least wasn't there by the time I showed up. Aurthur Suydam showed up like three hours late.

    - Brubaker disappeared for like three hours.

    - Skottie Young had a long ass commission line. Some guy standing behind me in Choi's line had some awesome NXM Skottie unfinished/finished pages.

    - Kaare Andrews had some awesome Spider-Man: Reign shit, but I wasn't about to shell out $250+ for his rough pages :o

    - I didn't see Clayburn Moore at his booth, but he had a ton of awesome Witchblade(?) and TWD sculptures. ECC exclusive was this

    - I went to the wrong booth at opening and missed getting a limited /100 Tim Sale print :wtc:

    - Mike Choi did this awesome headsketch of Iron Man getting the shit smashed out of him by Cap's shield. Battle damaged helmet, half of it was broken off.

All in all it was fucking awesome for my first show. I was a little overwhelmed at the size of some lines for artists/writers, so next year I'll have to go straight to whoever I want first and prioritize. I also should've worn more comfortable shoes. And of course, brought more cash :coold:

 I thought about going but I'm not a big follower in comic books. never got into them. Wish I did though. The art is cool and some of the story lines are cool too.

Yeah, join the Giarusso fun :bigthumb:

Those are some nice pics, especially for a camera phone.

Did you buy any comics? Perhaps exclusives?

There was very few cosplayers, I was kinda surprised.

The 501st Legion of Clonetroopers had a booth, with a 7 foot tall Vader.
I saw a Guy Gardner Green Lantern carrying a power Battery into the con.
One of the Flash guys with a suit too tight, balls out of control.
    Butterface Power Girl.
Couple dressed up as Gambit and Rogue.

Basically those were the only ones of interest.

I can't dethrone my Miranda av :eek3: :noes:

Yeah, awesome sketch for Chris G, had some awesome... don't remember the size, was bigger than 11x17 posterboards of Cap, Daredevil and Hulk for $40.

I was surprised that my razr2 took that good of pictures :o

I didn't snag any exclusives, only one that was of interest to me was an UXM #497 Marko Durdjevic book, but I forgot to get it :o
