He said it's the last gun he wanted, let's see if he holds true to that statement.

    In his armory:

    Rifles:
2 Ar-15s, 1 with iron sights, 1 with night vision 2x scope (not sure which brands, I think they're cheapies)
    AK-47
.270 (not sure what brand) with nice scope
    Ruger 10/22 with nice scope
    FN Herstel FS2000
    Barrett .50

    Handguns:
    Ruger LCP .380
    Keltec P3AT
    Glock 21
    FN Herstel FiveseveN
    Ruger 9mm
edit: forgot the Beretta 92FS he just bought

    Shotguns:
FN Herstel Police Shotgun (not the tactical)

I might be missing a gun or two but they're probably just older custom stuff he got from his dad, maybe a .22 pistol with a wood grip and a scope.

your dad's gun collection seems to have alot of fluff.

    The barrett, however, is awesome.

fluff? how so? it seems pretty basic to me :o I mean, he has a gun for basically every occasion. He's got carbines, a good deer rifle, a good plinking rifle, a good sniper rifle, small carry pistols, large backup pistols, a shotgun...

He deliberately wanted to have a variety, something about ammo availability too in case SHTF
I didn't even notice that. I gotta learn to scrutinize what others are doing better

I don't really care, I just figured someone would say it and took the opportunity.

You are lucky to have a dad that buys cool shit like that. Make sure his will is updated for it to be handed down correctly. lol.

well he said the barrett with the magazine is 9 grand and that his is normally 4, but he didn't pay that. I didn't push it further than that :o

One of those went locally (for me) for 6500 with a bunch of extras and ammo last week.

The guy who bought it runs a company that makes suppressors and is working on a design for one. He bought one so he could try out designs with it.

Wow. That's a fucking gun alright.

I guess it's different when you think you're doing "the right thing" by killing someone, but somehow...I dunno, it seems like the other person should at least have the opportunity to realize they're about to get shot in the head. Not saying your dad's gonna start sniping from the roof, just commenting on the gun's intended purpose. There's a reason there are so many movies and cop shows featuring a rogue sniper as the bad guy -- the idea that you can get killed, intentionally, by someone you never even knew existed is pretty scary.

Whats even crazier is that if you miss, but still come within 3 feet of the intended target, the shockwave that the bullet produces still normally kills the target.
