Right now I have a Memphis 12'' M3 in my GTI, that is powered by a JL 300/2. I got the sub for free because it had a small tear in the surround. I repaired this and it has worked flawlessly for about 6 months.
The box is a sealed 1.4 cu.ft enclosure.

The next box is for a Elemental Designs 15'' sub.
The box is a dual bandpass box. Outer dimensions of 37.5''x 18.5''x 19.75''
    Chamber one is 3.5 cu.ft with a slot port 1x 15x 15 tuned to 25hz
    Chamber two is 2.5 cu.ft with a slot port 2x 15x 6 tuned to 55hz

The final box is for a bunch of stuff.
    JL 1000/1- sub amp
    JL 250/1- sub amp
    JL 300/2- front component amp
    JL e2150- rear coax amp
    JL 12w7
    JL 8w7
    ADS 346 components- fronts
    Kicker KX2- sub crossover
    Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad cap
    Alpine IWA-W200 head unit

The first two setups are leading to the finally of the JL system. The box is going to be wrapped in black vynil.

    Any comments or questions?

Why do you have two different size subwoofers?

    Can you say... cancellation?

    No.
The subs are crossed over to seperate frequencies.
The 8 plays midbass and the 12 plays the lows. I have people argue with me every time I show the box, and every time, I'm right about it.
    The 8 is 110-60 Hz with a 36 dB/octave slope
    The 12 is 20-60 HZ with a 36 dB/octave slope

I've been doing installs for the last 4 years professionally.

    Such a waste.

Better response out of a dedicated MIDBASS, not a subwoofer.

    Well,
The best would be to put a center chanell in the front, and add some dedicated midbass speakers up front as well.
Also, the tweeters should be relocated in the front, and the drivers should really be relocated to pods or at least have angled mounting brackets made.
To top it off, I would go with different brands of speakers if I was doing this for SQ.
This is for me. I like it, and people who see the work are impressed.

I also have restrictions that I have placed on myself. Except for the HU, there can be no difference in appearance over stock. Everything in the back is fully covered by the hatch cover when it is down.

*also, the 8w7 specs and reviews claim it is capable all the way to 250Hz. I may play with that, but then the location will be more evident.

    Yup.

Hell, some subwoofer claim a frequency response up to 1kHz... but would I ever use them past sub-bass frequencies? No.

I did a lot of work yesterday. I was trying to have it ready for a car show today, but was unable to finish the install in the 8 hours. I had.

    ADS 346cs fronts
    Alpine type R 6.5'' rears
    JL 12w7
    JL 8w7
    JL 1000/1 sub amp
    JL 250/1 sub amp
    JL 300/2 front amp
    JL e2150 rear amp
    Kicker KX2 sub crossover
    RF 1 farad cap
    0 guage wire
    RF interconnects

    Test Fitting
    [IMG]
Then I got it back from being covered.
    The parts
    [IMG]
    The back of the HU

    Assembled
    [IMG]
    Running power wire
    [IMG]
    The installed box.

That is all for now. All the interior needs to be put back in, and the head unit needs to be slid all the way into the cage.
    Comments are welcome.
