Without fail every 20-30 minutes my computer will completely freeze, and be completely unresponsive forcing me to have to hit the power button and turn it off.

I have NO idea what is causing it and it is beginning to drive me insane

    It just powers off?
    No error code?
    Possibly a faulty power supply?

The screen freezes with whatever image was currently on the screen but I just cant move the mouse or anything.

How would I know if it was a faulty powersupply?

I don't think that is the problem. I have 3 case fans plus a CPU fan and it runs pretty cool

Hmm, I just realized I never updated my wireless card's driver after I reformatted recently, and the current drivers were the generic Microsoft ones so, I updated those.

The freezing ALWAYS happened while surfing the net so, I am going to wait and see how this goes.

Scratch that. It wouldnt be a faulty power supply. Durr. :uh:

    +1 to possible failing harddrive.

    Maybe faulty ram too.
How much ram do you have?
Try taking out one stick and running your computer, and then the other. (if you have two)

So does anyone have like.. a way for me to check rather than just spitting out different components.

Get the strongest magnet you have, and hold it right up to your computer components.

Well, I started thinking more along the lines of software compatibility issues, turns out i found a lot of people talking about Widnows 7 64bit and AVG Anti Virus v. 9 freezing when both installed so I have downgraded to 8.5 for the time being
