:ugh: for the case is right!

:ugh: on the mobo too. get rid of that ish. INTEL chipset. INTEL.

    :ugh: on the hdd. Seagate.

:ugh: on the quantity of ram. 4gb would need a 64-bit os, and you seem like a windows person, so you don't want 4gb since 64-bit windows blows at the moment.

The 80mm fan in front of the hard drive is a lot better than no fan there.
But 120mm fans are a lot better than 80mm fans.
I like the first three Xions on this page, but all of the cases on this list have 120mm fans in front of the hard drives.

This is a pretty good deal on an XFX 8800GTX
    $550 shipped. ($500 after $50 rebate)

With the $160 you save from the video card, I would go with
a Western Digital WD1600AAJS 160gb hard drive for your operating system. It's almost as fast as the Raptors, and only $56 shipped.

Then this Seagate (5 year warranty) 500gb sata 3gb drive for $120shipped.

PSU - A little less money, and a lot more trustworthy than the OCZ. FSP Fortron 700 watt. $130 shipped, $105 after $25 rebate.

You save money, and you'll have a better, cooler build.

And +1 on going with 2gb of memory.

    Hate on the mobo. :wtc:
Is the seagate really that good?
And, yeah I bought 4gb for the future if I ever decide to move to a 64bit OS, and even though the 32bit OS only recongnized 3.2-3.5 It's still better than 3gb..

    Seagate is that good.

Since you're only running one video card, you should go with an Intel P35 chipset board.

If you want to overclock, get a Gigabyte.
If you don't get a genuine Intel board.

Fuck, it's late. I didn't catch that you had already bought that stuff.

Usually we see people post in advance. Sorry about that.

Well don't worry about it. Low latency, from a performance company.
    It will do you proper.

I'll look into being able to return my HD and getting the seagate and possibly the WD. As for the case, I'm kind of stuck with it. I think my return period at Tiger has ended. So unless I just try to sell it to someone, or keep it but buy a different case, I don't know.

Don't panic about the case. An 80mm fan is going to blow a healthy amount of air onto the hard drives. It will just be a bit louder than a 120mm fan would be pushing the same volume of air.
Just make sure you put the 80mm fan in there. It doesn't look like it comes with one pre-installed.

And nevermind the Seagate if you already have the Hitachi.

But I definitely recommend the WD drive for the operating system.

I don't know if you know this, but there are 2 80mm fan slots in the front.

The thing is, I payed 102 for the HD I have now, so if I can take it back and get the Seagate for 20 dollars more, that'd be great.

That's a good thing for the 80mm fans. Did it come with fans?
If not, then I would recommend that you get Antec Tri-cool fans.
    Well worth the bucks.

If you're up to swapping the drive out, then sure. Why not.

I would definitely get one of these two motherboards and the XFX I already linked.

    Gigabyte GA-P35 $177 shipped

    Intel P35 - $132 shipped

Being that I'm a Canadian too, I don't have any problem with that.

TigerDirect is ASS for pricing. You can find better deals elsewhere. And they will rape you on S&H charges. I only buy from them if it's a smoking deal I can't get elsewhere.

Their site looks pretty good. Seems to be better pricing than TigerDirect, too.

    Yeah, it does. :wtc:
Ah well, I had a good experience with Tiger, fast shipping and easy return.
