for at least a few more months (more like early 2011ish)
Picked this thing up today for 'cheap'.
dare i ask how many honda civics i'd have to trade in for that?
retails for the price of a D3s, I bought it for the retail price of a D700.
Luxuries first investments last
I've always wanted one, just wasn't willing to pay the retail price of one.
work hard play hard bro
grats. i hope you like it
Damn Nancy, you're Ballin'
Congrats! Details on the good deal? On sale at a store?
Bailey Banks & Biddle is going out of business. They put all their watches at 50% off starting this morning. Too good a deal to pass up.
Congrats, I guess. Still don't see the point in a watch over $100/200
i don't wear any jewelry. i can't stand the thought of a wedding ring on my finger one day
I drop $15 everytime I'm in China for a knock off. Sure the lead leaching into my skin will soon kill me, but it looks almost like the real thing!
I have 2 reps, 1 Rolex, 1 Panerai. They look almost spot on and I spent a good amount of money considering they're reps. If you're into watches though, you can pick a flawed watch from a real one. And I will also say... nothing beats the real thing.
can't blame you if it's what you like. my dad invests in classic cars. some of his vettes will get driven maybe 10 miles in the summer
he also has about 25 rifles and handguns... 2 of which he shoots
your money your life
this is it for a while though. There's only (really) one more watch I'd like before I'm done w/ buying watches... but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I need to invest in my business rather than luxuries. This was an impulse buy on a watch I couldn't pass up.
do they lose value? once the dust clears and the watch goes from to normal for you, you can always sell 1 or 2 off if you want right
Cartier keeps somewhat a decent value, but Rolex is still the best at keeping or going up in value on the used market, but I'm just not a Rolex type of person. Too cliche and overdone IMO. The rest are just like cars, over produced and only expensive when you pay for them brand new. I bought Omega Planet Ocean used from an OTer for half the price of retail and he barely wore it... so it was essentially new.
well congrats anyway man. i always have to fight the urge for an impulse buy. being new to photography is crazy bad. i will be at work surfing B&H and have to resist the urge to add shit to the cart and buy it
When I got into photography, I was the worst. I bought, in order...
85 1.4 (sold the 28-70 for it)
other small things are in between there, like bags and stuff, but all that was bought in a matter of a year and half. Mostly impulse, mostly not getting to know the equipment fully. Now, I'm wanting more cameras... but I'm totally good w/ lenses. The battle of will and urge to buy is strong, but I'm fighting the good fight.
wow girth thanks for tempting me more
i cant buy man i just can't. i have a motorcycle that tempts me for accessories and performance mods. i have flying that consumes tons of gas and fees. i have guns that cost so much.
