After nearly 30 years of flawless work it finnaly broke down and i dont know if ill be able to fix it this time :wtc:

Something snapped inside and the mirror is out of balance now making focusing almost impossible.

I guess ill try to take it apart and fix it, then maybe take it to the shop but it sounded like its final breath.

    I hope it lives

Sorry for your loss. I'm on my third Minolta body. I've worn out two over the years but I still have all my lenses. My 50mm and 135mm date back to 1972.

Well the camera was made like a tank.

Cast aluminum body, everything made from quality materials. Good Soviet Engineering.

    Weighted like 6 pounds though.

i could be mistaken, but didn't Leica have a full cast aluminum body too on one of their older models?

Maybe, i read somewhere that zenit was one of only one's, or maybe the first?

    Gotta double check that :hs:
