    He sounds exactly the same.

Is going to enlist in the Army :hsugh: and hopes to be a Ranger...

Won't go to boot unless he feels "more than prepared"

    :o

I was watching it and to be honest, a lot of the things they did on there made me go "WTF?????????" and not in a good way.

This one Ranger on the 18 mile hump had foot pain or something so he sits down, but when he sits down what does he do? Takes his rifle and THROWS IT as hard as he can into the ground because he was mad... what the fuck??????? You guys can flame me all you want, but I just couldn't help me think "A Marine would never do that..."

lol, so you know every marine personally and they are all perfect ? :wavey:

im gonna go out on a limb here and assume that there are more marines with anger problems than army, but it might be hollywoods fault for making movies like the rock and shit like that

Tell him to look into the PAYS program before he enlists. From what little I have seen, it is a really good way to get connections in the civil world for jobs once you leave the military.

I guess you failed to notice the Jarheads that were part of the competition.

    1. Shut the fuck up.
    2. They carry rubber duckies in that competition, not real weapons.
    3. You don't have a fucking clue what a Marine would do.
    4. You are not even 1% the man of any competitor in the best Ranger challenge.
    5. I present this little article to rebutt your idiotic statement.

    Protecting the Protectors

    Marine Corps Gazette | James V. Marshall | July 10, 2006

In spite of intensive training, accidental discharge of small weapons continues to be a problem within the Marine Corps, as well as throughout the U.S. military. Gaining a better understanding of these unfortunate and often tragic occurrences is critical to the process of their elimination.

AD != intentionally throwing your rifle.

Weapon discipline has everything to do with AD. For example dropping a weapon, letting a butt stock bang the ground when going to order arms, improper carrying, keeping ones finger on the trigger, and yes throwing a weapon are all causes of AD. So if weapons discipline is the main cause of AD, and the Marine Corps felt the need to publish an article about the rampant AD issues in the Marines, I would say Marines need to work on weapon discipline. A Ranger throwing a rubber M16 doesn't bother me one bit.

I notice you completely skipped over the fact that they carry rubber copies in the BRC.

I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as an accidental discharge, there are only negligent discharges. Any unintentional discharge of a weapon is always a direct result of negligence in some way, shape, or form.

I skipped over the fact that they're carrying rubber rifles because it's irrelevant, treat it like you would a real one.

ive been told it was better to go into the military knowing nothing about firearms, nor have ever touched one. that way you dont have to break bad habits you may have picked up along the way :dunno:

No need to trash a real weapon for a competition.
