    He joined the Marines... :hs:

His last letter said he was having trouble with the swiming exercise. I told him he was going to need to learn to swim.

What would happen to him if he doesn't pass this?

All he needs to do to pass the damn swim qual is jump off a damn 10 feet diving board, and swim to the damn wall. Then fill his damn blouse with some damn air and float for 2 damn minutes. How hard is that?

btw- is he black? :o All of the black recruits in my platoon failed swim qual except one.

they get remedial (keep going until they pass).. besides, after last year's combat pool incident.. I'm not exactly sure how "strict" they are with the swimming requirements.

I guess he'll keep going until he passes. It isn't hard if you can swim. My brother can't swim for shit. He never has in his life.

I loved the pool. It was fun watching the hardass wannabe/gangsters/thugs who couldn't swim scream like bitches as soon as they got in the pool.
