My position in this job is slowly moving into a marketing position. I havn't written a single script in over a month.

I was hired as a "programmer" to take care of programming jobs and I end up find myself doing plenty of work that I was technically not hired for.

I had been looking forward to this project because I have not been doing much coding lately, just to have it cancelled on me. I'm frustrated.

I planned on utilizing AJAX for the first time. Guess that's not happening anytime soon.

Time to look for a new place.

Regardless, I still think it's time to start looking considering the work they have me doing now.

I have talked to my VP several times. He just continues to tell me that we'll be getting more projects in, but when we do, they're outsourced to a company, in order to apparently "keep the relationship", or cancelled like this one.

I guess when I quit they'll get my message. :hsughno:

Not to sound like a sarcastic jerk-off, but there are a few people on OT that would love the opportunity to have my company name to alter my life. :hs:

I'm probably going to give it until March before I hand in my notice. My review was supposed to be in March, but since the company is being switched over to an S-Corp, the reviews will happen next december. :ugh2:

That's how jobs are, man, you do the work that needs done. Might as well do the marketing gigs for a while, people skills are always useful -- especially in interviews when you're selling yourself for a hefty price.
