I can probably get it for 1100 or less. What does WMD think? Paging Phrozenlikwid.

    Here are his pics.

I'm really impatient, so I waited and found a McMillan stock on snipershide. I knew I wanted the A4 and was pretty set on the 700 short action. I actually PM'd the guy I bought it from yesterday to see if he had shipped it and he said it went out Sat. Well I got off work at 6am this morning and saw that it showed up yesterday. I was very happy.

  7. That looks like it'll be a kickass rifle. I assume you're going to handload for it?

Eventually. Honestly this is waaayyy overkill for my skill and knowledge. I can't help myself. When I saw a local shop selling a Rem 700 SPS for 1200 I said fuck it. I'll just piece something together. A friend of mine is very knowledgable, (he's a sniper for our SWAT team) and he has agreed to teach me the basics once I finish the rifle.

  9. This is making me even more impatient for my barrel to show up!

JW Precision in GA stocks popular McMillans and sells them for something like $100 of what you would pay from McMillan which honestly isn't terrible considering the wait list is now 6-8 months last time I heard.

    Who made the tube?

I haven't had any dealings with the Stiller actions, but everyone I've heard who has say they are legit. More/Less a 700 with all the custom features, which certainly isn't a bad thing IMO.

    What fill is the stock?

Looks fucking good. I hear really good things about the Brux tubes.

So where else you thinking about going with it? What's the bottom inletted for? Thoughts on glass?

Thanks! I honestly am avoiding thinkin about glass yet. Sort of... I don't wanna get too overwhelmed by the cost. Any suggestions? I may just get something cheaper like a super sniper or similar and then upgrade later. Is that weak? I'll have to check out some of my buddies schmidt and benders and the like, I'm guessing once I see something of that quality I won't be content with a cheapo.

Surgeon DBM? sorry I'm a noob. You want pics of the stock inlet?

I'm thinking about CGI precision bottom metal and Accuracy Internationl 10rd mags.

I dont know what I will have to modify to run the detachable box mags. Here is the label on the stock if anyone can interpret.

    Inlet blank?

what does the "BDL f/p, 37 Doug B/C" mean, if anything.

It's inletted for a remington BDL bottom metal and a Douglas #7 barrel contour which is 1.200 at the shank and tapers to .875 at the muzzle
