I got a question for you guys.

I bought some ammo while I was there today, 2 boxes of cheap stuff and a box of Federal 9mm +P+ 115 gr. Hi-Shok JHP. On the box it says "For Law enforcement use only" is that true or justa gimmick to make it seem mare badass/tacti-cool? Also is this good defense ammo?

I dont know much sorry haha :hsd:

It's just a gimmick (no pun intended).

Though I've heard problems with hydro-shok (or however you spell it).

    Are you sure it's +p+?

I've never seen that from Federal ammo before...

Was about to agree with you, but then found this 9mm 124gr +P+:

    http://le.atk.com/Interior.asp?section=1&page=pages/federal/fed_pistol_hydra.asp

Federal doesn't list any 9mm 115gr hydra shok's at all though :dunno:

Either way ... I wouldn't shoot +P+ in my Glocks. But my Glocks are 'foteys' so I definitely don't run high-pressure stuff in them

They don't have any 9mm +p+ on that webpage other than the .39 special, which I never look at anyway.

And the 9mm they have runs from 930-1170 fps depending on grain.

Corbon has 9mm that's in the 1259-1500 FPS and it's all still listed as +p
