So I am at the gym and everything is going good. I do my squats with no problem my deadlifts come and go and I am feeling fine. Then I come to the bench press portion of my routine. I could hardly finish my fourth set. The worst part was a piece of dust or something got in my eye as I returned the bar on my fifth and final set causing me to miss one of the pegs almost resulting in the bar landing on my head. I think I am cursed in bench pressing or something I have not made an increase in the amount of weight in a while. It really sucks seeing an increase in everything else but nothing in my flat bench. Is there anything I can do to sorta jump start my benching? I have read a little and different places say different things. Everything from taking some time off from working a particular muscle group to squeezing in extra exercises is supposed to work. So what has worked for you all?
