My friend just sent me a picture of a cherry Romanian PSL that he was cleaning at his bench where he works. Then informed me it was just sold :wtc:

I call shenanigans, this thread was mis represented, that is NOT a dragunov, it is a Romanian PSL, which is just an AK on steriods (though it fills the same role as the SVD). You can get them for about 800 bucks, real drags and NDM-86s go for 2-3k+

Looks like it's chambered in 7.62x54R, judging by the deep magazine...

Either way, those things are freakin sexy and I have always wanted one!

(btw, for the less-than-educated of us, can someone lead me to the differences between the mentioned rifles? I have never really understood it in my reading.... Not being lazy with the search function, just have looked at different things and obviously am not reading in the right places)

The romanian and yugo rifles are really just ak's chambered in x54r(and a few other calibers) a real dragunov is not a kalashnikov it looks similar but the operating system is completely different.

    Pics of drag internals http://www.dragunov.net/internals.htm

Cool, now that's informative! Now that I see them side-side I can certainly see the differences. I suppose I just attributed the handguard to defferent models rather than diff rifles altogether.
