This is the model I have....
    http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/products1.cfm?PartID=501&back_row=1&categoryID=3

The thing on the back is a Docter sight, its like a halo sight non magnified quick acquisition sight, eliminates the need for co-witnessing sights.

MSRP is like $1600 I paid $1200. I thought it was a good deal since I cant find one online for less than $1450.

Whats odd is it came sighted in. I mounted on my rifle and it was right on! I dunno of the shop guys used it to test it out and sighted it in but its good to go.

jesus christ. I could never spend that much on glass when I could purchase another weapon instead. I'm not really into rifles though - maybe that's why.

I'd love an ACOG but I cann't justify that much either on just an optic, looking at atleast 8 bills for the cheaper ACOG's I'll stick with my tacpoint for now :hs:

500? where the fuck do you live?

Edit: and yes, they are heaps better. think red dot target acquisition with a 4X optic.

some OTers are more financially established than others, there is also varying age/socioeconomic brackets here

$1200 to some is $5 to others

    nice purchase!

How do you like that TA31DOC? Is it worth the four digit price tag?

I really like it, of course Im going to say that because I spent a good amount of coin on it. But I really like having the option of both scopes/sights in one unit. My friend has a cowitness setup and I personally think it looks stupid having all those scopes on one rifle. not to mention hes got a bunch of other shit on it. But I love the clarity and brightness of 4X scope. I would have liked a lil more power but 4X is pretty good. I really would like to go to a range and properly sight it in and see if the calibrations are true (im sure they are) but as I stated eariler its pretty close to right on the money but it would be nice to see with a proper range.

I haven't used the sight in complete darkness but it seems as if doesn't glow as bright as it should. And I wish it had some kinda cover for the glass since it gets dirty pretty easily.

Sorry for hijacking your thread OP I should start my own, with better pics.

You have a very similar setup to mine so I'm seriously contemplating that optic. Oh well, in the time it takes for me to use my flip up irons properly, I may save enough cash for it.
