Yeah, its slow and has minimal mods, but....here it is.
I like Probes, overall. But I don't like the solid rear beam suspension.
Nice ride bro
I'm a www.probetalk.com member too (Fanatic-Indian)
That's probably the nicest Probe I've ever seen. To tell the truth, I am not a real big fan of Probes, so most of the time, I think they look gay. But I must say, well done!
Your Probe =
I always thought the Ford Probe was a nice looking, practical coupe. Certainly better looking than the other flavor known as the Mazda MX-6.
Too bad yours isn't a turbo, those performed decently when they were new.
Cool ride overall.
Ack! The turbos were those nasty first gen models, those were oooogly.
The second gen Probes were nice though, I think what you mean to be saying is "too bad yours isn't a GT with a V-6". Those were decently quick.
Agreed. I do wish I had purchased a GT, but oh well. It looks just as good. The 2nd gen GT's HP rating was at 164. Not too bad but the GT is a rather heavy car for its size and supposed sleekness. They don't respond to mods as well as a lot of imports do, as well. However, there are some that have made thier GTs quick. My friend Jeff has his running high 13s and he still hasn't put on headers or a UDP.
Thanks for the compliments, though.
Can i break that wing off for ya?
nice car man
Actually I think it's 145 stock 2nd gen GT
I like it. Probes look good. This one looks especially nice. Good job.
I LOOOOOVE the color!!!!!!!! Stock or re-paint? I'd add some
5zigen copse in silver or hyper black ..........
Thanks. Its actually stock color limited to a very few 97 models only. I'll find some more shots when the sun is hitting it directly. There is more of an olive color to it than these pictures show.
As for the wing, Im taking it off in a week or so. I just bought a VS Combat wing that I have to get painted. I'll take new pics when that happens.
No, it's 164 Hp.
Nice car bane...
Actually they're independant struts in the rear. I think Nissan is the only one using beams in the back still.
I had a 97 PGT 5-spd.. i got rid of it after 38,000miles
NOTHING but problems.. when i found out the tranny was about to go after i had just put about $3,000 into the car.. i was like F-IT
and moved on with my life.
It was a sharp looking car and fun as hell to drive.. it was a demon in 1st.. 3rd was on the weakside though.
Pros- Cheap and Quick
Cons- Ford sucks and hard to mod
Ford Service is SHIT by the way.. I know this quite well by taking my car into the shop about 15 times in a year and a half..
