MY 67 VW Dominator Autocrosser

    I found this car in a field

    I took it down to the frame & did a complete restoration on it.
    It's Tube frame, Mid Engine, Weighs 925 LBS, 180 HP, 1835cc VW, Custom built side pods (for the dual oil coolers), Ported heads, Titanium valves, Forged 1.4:1 rocker arms, 13.1:1 compression, 10,000 RPMs, Dual 44 IDF Webers, Forged crank, Carillo rods, forged pistons, Electronic ignition, 4.86:1 rear gear , Super Diff, Close ratio 3rd & 4th, Rhino case, 4 wheel disk brakes, rebound & compression adjustable shocks, Hoosier 225/45/VR15 autocross tires, Stainless steel roll bar, Adjustable Aluminum wing.
    0-60 in under 4 seconds, 1.3+ G's in turns.

    I race in the B Modified class of the NEOKLA Region of the SCCA
    It has 2 seats & I do give rides!!
    I make the rider clean out their seat after the run!!

    nice heirloom. looks AND handling.
    lucky find, in a field. i definatly want a ride....what's the power to wt ratio? a bazillion to one? you rule.

    While the power to weight ratio is not a bazillion to 1
    It is 6 lbs per HP.
    It's like riding a [​IMG] Jet!!

    I like giving rides!! It's a [​IMG] Blast!! Just bring your own barf bag!![​IMG]

    Yep It's a keeper all right!!
    I could never get the $$$ I got in it back if I tried to sell it!!

    I only ran it 5 times this year. I was doing a lot of sand drags on my Raptor & they're opening up a 2nd track close by next year.
    I'll be drag racing twice a month (I win $$$ at the sand drags, I only get throphys in SCCA racing) & going to Little Sahara to play in the dunes once a month so I'll probably keep it in storage till my nephew is old enough to drive it!!

    It's amazing what a little time and patience (Oh and let's not forget a little of the green stuff) will do. Very sharp looking, that thing has got to be a blast to drive.
