Been a lot of work but it's fun.
Still have a lot left.
beautiful car, I love that body style...
Nice, Looking good
That car is badass. Fenderless makes it look 10x's better.
that rawkz! I love rat rods and im all for primer black! I need to find me a project like that to monkey with. Post up more pics along the process since you say theres more to do.
that is completely amazing.
where the rest of the pictures, engine, interior close ups !
Thought this was lost to oblivion. I'll dig some pics out.
A little background.
Apparently this was an abandoned street rod project from the early 80's or so.
I picked it up in Dallas from a guy who was about to turn it into a dirt tracker.
A couple of shots from November. Roughly the last time the car was driven before I put it up.
Now I don't mind the fenderless look at all but this car is too late of a year model to really pull it off. For Dodge it's hard to do after a '35 year model. Even then a '35 is hard to do.
I don't like the typical Street Rod look though. (I know it's running a 350/350 combo. It will come out in time. I know I could drop a small block Mopar in there but why do all the work when even that will get pulled for an early 331 Hemi when I get it.)
Here's a nasty shot.
Yeah baby. That's how it was driven. I took this November 27th. I had just taken the seats out and started ripping out the old stuff.
Already have made a lot of headway here but not gonna post pics of it yet. New steering wheel and shifter are in. Making a new console for it now.
A shot of a possible trunk treatment. Not sure and I've already ripped it out. The battery is sitting in a vintage Budweiser Beer case.
Now the quick and dirty early photoshops.
Those were from early fall when I was curious as to what direction I would take the car this winter.
But now....I have recently found me some fenders and a new grill shell so.....
that is so fucking hot
