i was thinking, that is a piss poor time for that BUILT motor you have, but then i remembered, its A FUCKING FULL SIZED TRUCK. mid to low 12's is god damned impressive for a full weight truck.

but its still stock blower. throw a GT35R on and go fuck some shit up.

Actually, it is a pretty sad time for what I have done, but I have the tune REALLY safe because the gas around here isn't the best and not many people run Premium. I'm fairly sure if I wanted to get a little more radical with the tune I could run some high 11's with the stock blower, but I don't really feel like taking that chance.

I am still deciding what I am going to do with it, I might pull the built engine out and put in my 93 LX with either an F1R or a 76mm Turbo, and just put a fairly stock engine back in the L and use it for tow duty.

that motor in a foxbody would be fucking nuts.

The weights are pretty close to the same, the major difference is the 5.4 is a lot wider, and taller, than the 302, and the motor mounts are in a different location requiring either a 96+ K Member or cutting off the motor mount pads on the existing K Member and installing a motor plate. It's a lot easier just to swap in a Modular K Member.

Awesome looking trucks. Never understood why they have such crappy interiors though.

I haven't been in much of a hurry with it anymore, since I don't have to move back to South Floriduh (thank goodness).

It's pretty much done, just waiting on the blower block off plate to be machined, we should be finishing it up on Tuesday, then I'll put it on our dyno and get some low boost #'s, drive it around a few days like that, then tune it for high boost.

Stock F-150 tails are just as ugly as the current ones. Once I get some time I'm going to take these apart and paint the chrome parts black...

Well I finally got her back on the dyno today. Did a baseline pull with the same boost (15) and everything as before other than the .81 exhaust housing. Power was actually up ~ 15 HP and TQ was up almost 75 LB FT!

I dialed the boost controller up to 20#'s and knocked the timing down to 10 just to be safe on the first pull (93 octane) TQ went up to 650 (over 100 FT LB gain) but the HP only went up ~ 40 HP, figuring it was spark blow out I grabbed a set of NGK 9's off the shelf (they are pre gapped to .024 vs my TR6's which I set at .035)

I started on the drivers side since that was the side that blew the plug out of the head a couple months back, when I got to #6 the plug didn't want to come out, so I soaked it with WD40 and went on the the next one, got the other 3 plugs out and they looked perfect, finally got #6 out and not only was the electrode gone but so was probably the first 1/4" of the threads!

I checked the piston etc... out with our bore scope and the piston/wall etc... look perfect so I'm quite confused as what caused the damage to the plug. The thread insert I installed after the last plug blew out got stripped so I had to remove it, and was going to install a new one. I pre wedged the insert before I installed it so it wouldn't go all the way through but sure enough it went all the way through and is now sitting on the top of the piston...

So looks like I get to pull the head off now to fix the head, guess I'm going to swap back to my stock cams while they are off.

I'm quite interested in what kind of power it will make when I get it back together since it looks like both times I dyno'd I was 1 cylinder down.
