The car put down 431WHP / 388WTQ on pump gas, on race gas, it did a strong 517WHP / 472WTQ. In my opinion, there's a little more in the car. The race gas tune was done with over 1/4 tank of 93 and only about 4 gallons of C16.

Nice setup, hard to complain about those numbers either. You are right that you could squeeze even more out on a tank full of C16, or even E-85. Nothing like race gas you can buy at the pump and legally drive around with.

Hell, I like power across the RPM range too. Everything I've got makes it's power (well, what passes for power anyway :mamoru:) below 6,000; stock pushrod motors. I like having 'grunt' right out of the hole, but not everything makes hp/tq down low.

That sounds like decent power in that STi; it'd be nice if it came on a little sooner. Probably a fun car to toss around if you can keep the revs up.

*Disclaimer* I'm no expert on STIs, so if I'm wrong, enlighten me plz...

just check my dyno sheets, I make within 25ftlbs of my max torque by about 2750 rpm, and I don't drop below that untill I hit about 7,000

certainly broad powerbands are nice for a DD cutting in and out of traffic, but if you drive the car hard, you can't beat the rush of a turbo IMO...keeps you from getting bored

    nice STI
