i'd say the buddy got the raw end of the deal, looks like just 1 person to me :o

very interesting lighting, could be cool, but a couple questions:
1 did you compose it with the near square format of a cd cover in mind, looks like you will lose a lot in cropping

2 does the feel of the image match the feel of the music?

lol, i just posted my fav shot.

    1. they are going to crop them and put them inside the cd booklet, not going to be cd cover

    2. i hope so, they produce hip hop beats

I think the real problem with the lighting on this shot is that it doesn't compliment his complexion at all. Also, I think you'd have been better off going for B&W. sorta a film noir thing. At least then you could have touched it up and it wouldn't look weird.

I like it. I disagree with going B&W, I like the color that it is. I do agree that you should clean his neck up a little bit, but to be honest, I didn't even notice the complexion problems until it was mentioned... :dunno:

Also, the background is kinda distracting. There's like, a shelf back there or something?

i like the shot. just make sure whatever is on the left side (his right) is completely black and not showing any detail. I can see a little there and it probably should just be gone all together.
