GUN My 10/22 is waiting for its new parts

Discussion in 'On Topic' started by Market Garden, Aug 8, 2008.

  1. I just ordered some new stuff for my 10/22. I like it in its current configuration, but it wasn't really much fun for anything other than benchrest shooting. So, today I took the opportunity to do something I've been thinking about for a while.
Here's my 10/22 as it sits now

Soon to be a Tac-Sol aluminum barrel with a C-More Railway! I figure it'll be a hell of a lot more fun to plink around with than an 8+ pound .22 with most of the weight in the barrel.

The rifle should weigh under 5 pounds with the new gear.

    Ultralight 10/22's are mad ill.

  6. Who makes good hi-cap magazines? I've heard lots of bad things about aftermarket mags for 10/22s.

tactical inc are the best. I have the aluminum ones.

I all kinds of 10/22 highcaps but none can compare. The hot lip mags work pretty good when new but when they get dirty (and 22lr is dirty) they are a royal pain to clean as you can't take them apart. The Tactical in come apart, can be repaired, and can even be adjusted for feeding height. Great mag.

I got some broke ass non hot lip mags that I retired and "repaired" Tactical inc mags. Cut them open with a dremel and used the internal parts in the Tac Inc's

  9. The polymer ones look a little more reasonable at $37. Maybe I'll order one and give it a shot. :)

When you handle the mag you see where the money went. It is solid billet aluminum. It is the highest quality mags for any gun I own. Most importantly they work flawless and if you know 22's you know mags are the major weakpoint.

Yeah people just don't understand untill they pull on a good trigger. I budget $200 for trigger jobs for every gun I'm serious about
